Data Analyst (SAP BW, HR) required for a large global organisation for an initial 6 months to be based in Middlesex.

The Data Analyst will work on a major transformation programme globally across the HR function, currently migrating HR reporting and analytics solution to a data lake environment to leverage big data technologies.

We are seeking a Data Analyst to help support various activities related to this programme stream.

Accountabilities

? Work as part of a small UK based Data Team within the broader HR Reporting & Analytics Team

? Work with developers, technical lead, testers, customers and project manager to support delivery of new data models required to support reporting and analytics across a range of information areas (Core, Learning, Talent, Resourcing)

? Work to investigate, understand and document current system logic and data in order to provide basis for future functional design

? Work with customer requirements and specification documents, ensuring all functional requirements have been captured and understood

? Support requirement review sessions

? Co-ordinate and support testing

? Compile clear and detailed solution documentation and process documentation

? Support knowledge transfer/sharing across teams

? Support any data related ad hoc tasks

Essential Criteria

? Experience of supporting large system/data related projects, possibly data migration projects

? Strong working knowledge of SAP BW

? A background in data / reporting / MI / analytics or significant exposure to this from previous projects

? Experience of working with both onshore and offshore teams

? Ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams

? Experience of working on major multi stream projects/programmes

? Ability to manage multiple areas of activity simultaneously

? Strong stakeholder management

? Excellent listening, presentation and communication skills

? Team player

? Rigorous attention to detail, appetite to learn, curiosity to understand

? Methodical approach to work, strong problem solving skills and innovative thinking

? Competent to work with large volumes of data

? Working to uphold standards of excellence

Desirable Criteria

? Experience of working with HR/people data

? Experience of Power BI

? Experience of Business Objects
