You like to explore the limits of tech.
So we’ll show you more than you could ever imagine.
You’re curious about tech. In fact, you push yourself to unlock all its possibilities. And that’s exactly the kind of thinking we need. Our people are inquisitive and creative, always finding new ways to tackle unique challenges. Here, we design secure communications systems for HM Government in the UK and abroad. So not only will you work on extraordinary projects, you’ll help protect the country and its interests.
The role
Working with cutting-edge technologies, you’ll plan, design and execute tests for software solutions that solve complex problems. From servers to mobile phone systems, you’ll accurately record test results and provide detailed reports for a range of customers and developers. So communicating technical information in a clear, concise way is vital. No matter what the task, you’ll take ownership and be involved in the whole process. Plus, you’ll support and maintain test environments, while contributing to test planning and project meetings. That way, your value will be felt by even more people. This is a chance to join a world full of innovation and limitless potential. Most of all, it’s where you’ll have far-reaching impact - more than you could ever imagine.
Your profile
You can install and configure networks as well as operating systems on desktop, server, and mobile platforms.
You’re able to design test cases, create test scripts, and identify data to fulfil user or system requirements.
You’ve got experience using a wide range of applications, including messaging apps and personal security products.
You have experience of writing test plans and technical reports.
You hold an IT-related occupational, professional qualification (or equivalent experience).
While not essential, experience of software virtualisation technologies and using Defect Management tools (such as Jira) is an advantage. Scripting skills - including Python, PowerShell, Perl or Bash - will also strengthen your application, as would having an ISTQB/ISEB testing qualification.
Rewards
In return, we’ll invest in your career by providing technical training, professional accreditation support, mentoring, and on-the-job learning to develop your skills. On top of a welcoming workplace, you’ll also get a great rewards package that includes flexible hours.
