Job Category: Lead Officer - SIMS Support. Management Information Systems (MIS) Service, Children's Services
The Royal Borough of Greenwich is looking to appoint a dynamic lead officer to manage the SIMS Support team within Children's Services. You will ideally have experience of managing a team; the successful candidate will be given development support. Personal drive to improve the quality of the service and support offered to schools is essential. As an accomplished SIMS Support Officer, you will have a firm grasp of the issues encountered by SIMS and FMS users and a solid ability to resolve these. Your application will need to demonstrate that you have experience supporting the Capita SIMS suite of software.
You will be organised, have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, possess the ability to motivate a team and deliver high-quality support and training to our customers across the range of SIMS modules. In addition, you will have a thorough understanding of information technology issues that could affect the smooth running of the SIMS suite and the SOLUS delivery system.
Experience of working in a Local Authority IT support team would be ideal, but not essential if you have worked within other SIMS support environments or have significant experience dealing with SIMS within a MAT or large secondary school environment.
The 'Lead Officer - SIMS Support' is part of a larger team that supports all management information systems within Children's Services, including Education, Social Care, and Early Help. Being part of a larger team offers opportunities for support and development, along with exposure to other widely used Local Authority systems.
In return we can offer you a supportive and friendly team, a great salary, generous leave entitlement and a modern work environment, along with these other benefits:
* Pension Scheme
* Childcare Vouchers
* Annual Season Ticket Loan
* Eye Care Vouchers
* Payroll Giving Scheme
* Employee Personal Computer Incentive Scheme (EPCIS).
Successfully shortlisted candidates will be contacted to arrange an interview.
