Are you an experienced IT professional who is well versed at defining and implementing the technologies required for significant IT-related projects? Are you someone who is able to lead and inspire from the front coupled with the ability to persuade and influence others?

We have a unique opportunity for an IT Technology Design Authority to ensure that all significant IT decisions made by the organisation align with the States of Guernsey’s IT and Digital Strategy. This will involve developing and delivering against strategic plans that support multiple goals and stakeholders and ensuring that you maintain a strong understanding of up-to-date developments and best practice in IT, both in the UK public sector and in other jurisdictions and industries.

With this in mind, you should have a detailed understanding of enterprise and business architecture as well as strong knowledge, and experience in applying business analysis methodologies and project management techniques.

As a commercially minded individual, you will need to be a self-starter with the ability to partner with the business and make objective decisions when responding to business requirements and needs. If you are someone who is tenacious and resilient yet able to influence and persuade your key stakeholders while working as part of a vibrant IT team, then this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

In equal measure you should hold a degree, preferably in business, IT, or related subject with significant experience in the IT industry or a closely related field.

Guernsey is the perfect location for those seeking a rewarding career and a relaxed outdoor lifestyle, with regular links to the UK and France. We offer a relocation package which includes interview and relocation travel. A five-year housing permit is allocated to this role.
