Work moves fast here; one day you could be modifying third party integrations with PayPal one day, and adapting process for encoding, transcoding and delivering master audio and video files the next. We also don’t shy away from giving you real responsibilities; at all times, we expect that your changes will move swiftly through our continuous integration processes, in order to improve the overall experience of our systems.

What do we need from you?

We’re looking for you to have a proficient understanding of software engineer principles, as demonstrated by either a Computer Science or a Software Engineering degree. However, applications are also welcome from candidates that have completed other relevant degrees (e.g., maths, science etc.) or comprehensive coding courses.

We are also looking for experience in the following:

· Java or web programming experience;

· Experience with databases and SQL;

· Test creation;

· Experience with Oracle Databases, PL/SQL and JDBC;

· Experience of source control systems;

· An interest in Agile, continuous development and integration.

Additionally, we’re looking for a desire to learn; we want you to take advantage of the support and mentoring you’ll receive from the team in order to develop your knowledge and improve your skills.

What’s in it for you?

You will join a forward-thinking company that has embraced the power of technology and creative thinking. We believe that our Graduate Engineers have a key role to play in the future of the music industry, and we practice what we preach: a number of our Senior Engineers first started as graduates. Additionally, you can expect benefits health insurance, death-in-service coverage, health cover, childcare vouchers, such as season ticket loan, a cycle-to-work scheme, and pensions. Our office is in the heart of London, and we value our relaxed, friendly culture; at Kobalt, you’re not just an Engineer. You’re a part of the future of music.
