Security Architect based out of Milton Keynes, DV Clearance ideally

Consult on and design innovative solutions tailored to a deep understanding of client's needs.

Be the Security design authority on programmes of works collaborating across enterprise architectures to produce end-to-end security designs.

Assist on bids, proposal for works, as well as on implementations and integrations.

Represent the client at senior stakeholder level and, as a security expert, help guide and influence our clients through their security issues.

Provide support and guidance to all technical architects

Working with design teams to ensure security it built in by design

Knowledge and understand of secure environment and what it takes to ensure compliance / accreditation.

Provide support and guidance for security escalations from technology Team Leaders (TL) as required.

Understand technical deliverables (internal & external) and review current solutions to develop strategic improvement plans

Security Technical point of contact for customers and other teams and SMEs

Act as the technical authority for security, engaging relevant Managed Service technical personnel.

Ensure Tech leaders are following technology standards and processes for security

Working with specified GIS, GIO TL & PS TL to understand their security challenges and provide roadmap information

Highlight technical risks so that any exposure to commercial loss can be minimised

Work as part of the Managed services technical teams.

Identify other service opportunities

QA relevant design documents against identified security best practice, guidelines and standards.

Extensive knowledge and experience of Security Governance and Technical best practice methodologies (HMG SPF, ISO27001, CoBIT) for at least 6 years

*A minimum of 5 years' experience within a managed service environment

*Hold at least 2 industry certifications in technology area

*Knowledge and experience of troubleshooting technology to an advanced level

*Excellent communication skills both written and oral internally and in front of clients

*Demonstrable ability to deliver technical documents and to develop solution specific client requirements in Public Sector organisations

*Ability to present to medium sized internal and external audiences

*Be able to deal with sensitive customer issues

*Demonstrable time management skills and organisational skills

*The ability to lead a large technical team/s and delegate tasks

*Ability to design and review complex infrastructure architecture

*Demonstrable significant experience of consulting on, and the delivery of, secure system design and implementation.

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 18 weeks.
