Junior Web Developer - PHP, CSS, HTML Nottingham / Nottinghamshire - £15-16k

My client is urgently looking for a Junior Web Developer to join their team based in Nottingham. You will have the knowledge required for a role developing and maintaining in house websites for an eCommerce / clothing sales company. Essential for this role is the ability to:

Create database-driven websites and online applications, with database construction using MySQL, along with validating and testing of websites.

Candidates must:

* Demonstrate web development knowledge for multiple projects (whether personal or industry projects)

* Be able to demonstrate a knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript

* Have the ability to create a website / web application with usability in mind

* Be able to use Adobe PhotoShop for graphics manipulation / slicing

Knowledge of SEO techniques, SPAM filtering, and server systems (Apache, IIS, Windows, LINUX) would be advantageous.

In order to be successful, you will have the required skills in HTML, PHP and CSS. Ideally you will be comfortable coding in these languages and you will be capable of creating websites from designs created by the in-house Design team.

Daily tasks will include maintenance of the website, ongoing management of pages, weekly changes to the website and developing html emails to support the marketing team. You will have excellent communication skills, written and vocal, as you will be working with teams based in the offices in Nottingham and in London.
