About the role:

We are looking for a Senior QA Tester for a 9 month contract to support us during an Oracle ERP implementation. You will work with the Lead QA across several project teams, to co-ordinate, report, and manage testing projects for this implementation and. This will involve test scripting and hands-on testing.

Duties will include:

Documentation (test scripts, test cases and test plan documents, to house standards where applicable, reviewing)

Manual testing on an Enable project including steering/driving the QA effort as part of an agile team

Information gathering, monitoring, reporting for Enable needs

Enable testing project management and organization

About the QA team at Abcam:

Abcam is on a journey of a multi-year investment in its core IT systems. Our architectural landscape which supports our industry leading E-Commerce platform will consist of in-house developed systems utilising middleware solutions (WebMethods) to incorporate Oracle Cloud ERP as well as other packaged systems (Cloud and On-Premise). Therefore, any experience in messaging, interfacing and architecting in this ecosystem is advantageous. As well as our agile teams, QA is a cross-cutting function or "guild". As part of the QA team you’ll have the opportunity to work on QA initiatives as well as your software development team project work.

About you:

You will have a degree in computer science, or in a numerate or scientific discipline.

or have equivalent experience. You will have 5+ years of work experience in one of a combination of the following:

Hands-on testing role

Team lead/project management role in (Agile) software development

Development role including overlapping with QA or management activities

You will also have practical experience with implementation of an Oracle ERP system.

You will have used bug-tracking tolls and JIRA and be able to plan projects and estimate timings. Equally important is the ability to be a team player and be detail oriented. You will need to take initiative and responsibility for your workload and drive projects forward.
