Financial Crime Manager required to provide complex sanctions advisory solutions across multiple business lines of a global bank based in London.
Within this role, you will work with senior stakeholders, providing technical sanctions support and guidance on economic, trade and financial sanctions to various departments exposed to such rules. You will be supported by a small team for sanctions specialists.
With the intense scrutiny around sanctions you will be required to have a detailed understanding of the subject matter. A broader understanding of financial crime such as AML, AB&C and fraud will be beneficial.
Practical experience working programmes administered by OFAC, UN, HMT and other governing bodies/regulators will be highly beneficial.
As a senior member of this sanctions advisory team, you will naturally act as an escalation point for any sanctions related queries from junior team members and potentially other sanctions teams.
Part of your role will require you to represent the bank at sanctions risk committees, sanctions steering groups, financial crime and sanctions project workshops and forums.
Your stakeholders will range from VP up to board level. This type of exposure is great if you are the type of individual who likes to challenge the business and provide them with solutions that result in the bank being able maintain their competitive edge in the market.
