In this role you will report to the Commercial Strategy Manager, and play a critically important role in the shaping and transformation of the Avis Budget EMEA business. The Commercial Strategy team is high profile, with monthly discussions and meetings with the Commercial Leadership team in the EU HQ and the regional Commercial Directors to discuss business performance and where we should direct our focus to reach our targets. We work closely with the Group Commercial & Licensee Director to ensure cohesive actions across the Commercial department. As part of a small team you will have ownership of projects with high visibility and stakeholder management. You will produce high quality analytics and apply your commercial acumen to provide recommendations on business priorities.

To be successful in this demanding role, you will have a strong analytical background, for example, in financial planning, strategy consulting or revenue management, and you will be highly data rational. You will have the credibility, relationship building and influencing skills to present, clearly and effectively, to senior leaders in EMEA. You will work closely with all divisions within Commercial as well as other divisions across the business as needed, so strong stakeholder management and influencing skills are essential.

This role offers you the opportunity and challenge to further improve the business performance across EMEA. Success will create development opportunities for you within the Region. Ideal candidates will be educated to degree level, preferably from a business or quantitative / analytical discipline (for example, business studies / accountancy, economics, engineering, statistics) and be able to demonstrate previous data analytics experience in a commercial or operational setting.

Responsibilities

- Development of market and customer insights to shape global strategies and drive revenue across the business

- Working collaboratively with other business units and entities to seek best practice and analysis to inform strategy development

- Working closely with core functions to ensure strategy is supported by qualitative and quantitative analysis

- Present analysis and recommendations to Senior Management team for adoption of solutions into business processes

- Management of stakeholder relationships across the EMEA wide business

- Keep abreast and escalate competitor initiatives and changes which could impact the business

Skills

- Self-starter, able to structure and manage own workload with minimal input

- Strong team player

- Experience in strategy development and the analysis and implementation of performance, market and customer information and trends to inform strategic and business planning preferred

- Strong financial and analytical skills with an enthusiasm for problem solving

- Highly results focused

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Excellent in establishing relationships with external and internal stakeholders

- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to package and present ideas in a persuasive manner

- Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint essential; Access preferred)
