£30,000 plus up to £5,000 bonus

TDI Tuning Ltd, a leading specialist in Diesel and Petrol vehicle engine tuning products are looking for a talented PHP web developer to join our friendly and passionate team in Chelmsford, Essex.
The right candidate will have at least 5+ years experience and be solely responsible for creating and maintaining a brand new international ecommerce website and managment platform using PHP, MVC, MySQL, Javascript, HTML and XML where appropriate. Laravel would be an advantage.
This is an excellent opportunity to be solely responsible for a fast growing company with a major online presence which trades on an international basis. Although this is a web development role, website design and graphical skills would be an advantage.
Essential skills and experience: PHP, MVC, with MySQL databases in a commercial environment
Laravel is highly desired
Excellent Javascript, XML, CSS and HTML skills
Excellent Knowledge of Linux
Excellent understanding of cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility issues
Experience developing for multiple devices such as mobile and tablets - including responsive design
Ability to work under pressure, unsupervised and using own initiative
Adherence to web standards, best practices, latest trends and software development methodologies
Able to interact confidently and well with a wide range of people at all levels, internally and externally.
Strong team player.
Proven User Interface Development.
Experience within eCommerce IT organisations is essential
Ability to document solutions, site architectures, interaction notes, logical data models and development documentation.
Git
Solid understanding of the relationship between successful user interface solutions and development and its effect on key e-commerce metrics that drive business value.
Demonstrated ability to develop innovative systems and apply cutting edge user interface techniques.
Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
Data-orientated approach to interactive design and testing (can logically think through implementation of test designs, and draw conclusions from results)
Understanding of XSLT or other template languages
Knowledge of Jquery, EXT or a similar framework
