Front-end Developer, HTML5, OO JavaScript, CSS3, jQuery, Backbone.js, node.js, Grunt, TDD, JavaI currently have an urgent role for a Front-end Developer to work on a Client Platform
Length of Contract: 6 Month Contract
Location: London
The Role
Work as part of a cross-functional team following agile practices to deliver web solutions to support my client’s growth. You will be encouraged to form strong relationships with your team and with other teams in the client delivery area which includes native app development. You will be expected to follow best software practices including testing, test automation, code reviews, refactoring and pairing.
Responsibilities:
Deliver new and enhance existing websites. Follow responsive design principles to ensure that websites support multiple devices and multiple browsers covering desktop and mobile.Support your team to meet sprint commitments. Ensure that impediments of any kind are escalated and long term solutions pursued. Delivery high quality well tested software that meets agreed requirements. Promote best software development practices. Collaborate. Support and promote agile practices including Scrum and XP. Key Skills:
Good experience of creating web sites using HTML5, OO JavaScript and CSS3. You may be more specialised in one of these areas. Exposure to JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, Backbone.js, node.js and Grunt. Understand the principles of scalable and maintainable JavaScript code. Solid understanding of software engineering. Experience writing tests, automating these and adopting TDD desirable. Team working experience. Exposure to Java development or Java web frameworks or a desire to learn these is nice to have.Must have worked for blue chip companies If you have the above skills and experience, please send an up to date CV.
