Senior Software engineer Start up - Java, Big data

Java, Spring, Spring MVC, hibernate, Agile - TDD, Pair programming, MongoDB, Elastic Search + interest in cloud technology

This role represents an opportunity to heavily influence the technical direction and overall platform design of a major platform which is growing in user base.

My client is looking for a Senior Software engineer to be part of the technical Authority in designing and driving forward the implementation of a new growing platform. You will will be involved in all layers of the technical stack, from infrastructure and operating systems, to run time platforms, application architecture and service delivery.

You will be a spring expert and have a good understanding of Java and agile practices. My client is best described as a start up with the financial backing of a large conglomerate. They have a small - medium sized agile team who and adjust to the market with new technologies but with the financial backing of a large company.

You will be in charge of large projects dealing with NoSQL databases on a greenfield system. They operate in a Agile environment which includes pair programming and test driven development

Desired Experience/Skills:

* Java experience

* Knowledge of Spring Spring MVC and hibernate

* Experience of AGILE environments with the ability to communicate effectively

* Some knowledge or experience of working with NoSQL data stores, particularly Redis, ElasticSearch, MongoDB
