Embedded C/C++ Software Engineer - Permanent - Devon

Embedded software engineer required for a leading wireless broadband solution company based in Devon. The role will see the successful candidate design new equipment, and also have a huge say in how the company can move forward in other areas. This role has arisen due to expansion within the company.

Length: Permanent

Salary: £55,000

Location: Devon

Start Date: ASAP

The Role:

* Rigorous and self-driven design, development and maintenance of software features for high-speed wireless IP products.

* Responsible for concise documentation and maintenance of software features for high-speed wireless IP products.

* Timely production of well architected, robust, unit tested, commercial quality deliverables.

* Interact and co-ordinate with members of other engineering and production teams.

* Assist with the diagnosis and resolution of customer problems

Key Skills:

* Embedded C/C++

* Linux Operating Systems

* Strong understanding of web technologies, such as JavaScript, JSON, AJAX

* Scripting experience, including awk, Python and Perl.

Desirable Skills:

* Strong experience and habitual use of patterns, structured design methodologies, OOA and the UML.

* Experience of working with RF and wireless technologies

* LAN/WAN telecommunications knowledge
