Hackneys ICT team are a mixture of fresh, vibrant and skilled IT workers, you'll be in a forward thinking and new technology driven department where your skills and experience will grow daily. They are currently working on exciting projects such as mobile integration; the team are on the leading edge of modern technology and are breaking new ground across the modernisation of Hackney Council's ICT services.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst or experienced Project Manager to provide a valuable function in supporting the senior ICT team and developing the council's IT strategies. You will lead on the implementation of the new IT systems and the development of new online services using new technologies. Your main function will be to motivate the business, leading projects and developing new IT solutions across all council departments. The management team are devoted to providing training in the role and will support internal and external training and development courses to develop you into a Programme Manager.

Ideally you will have some experience of web based services and change management within local government or within a large complex organisation; you will understand real users and be able to handle written requirements and business cases. You will also have an ITIL version 3 foundation ISEB/BCSdiploma in Business Analysis qualification and/or a Prince2 Practitioner qualification. You will have experience within a similar role and be able to manage various small projects at the same time; you will need to have excellent soft skills when dealing with stakeholders. Knowledge of integration techniques, SQL Server reporting MS Office (Macro) functionality and an understanding of virtualised environments is essential.
