Job Title: Senior Risk Analyst - Acquisition Strategy
Location: Cheshire

Overview
Responsible for development, tracking and re-forecasting to achieve financial objectives with specific focus on strategy design and analysis as it relates to new account risk strategies and insights. The role-holder will work closely with Business Development on risk criteria for different product designs and finance/loss forecasting for pro-forma modelling and rapid cycle re-forecasting. Internally the role-holder will partner closely with execution teams, MIS reporting teams and database teams to assist in the delivery of robust strategies and best in class strategy reporting and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Development of measurable strategies for cash and line increases which optimise the risk and reward performance through understanding of customer behaviours and impacts to key P&L lines
- Assist with the delivery of strategy guardrail performance
- Analyse the relative success of the strategy suite and deliver strategy insight, recommending corrective actions as necessary
- Assist with management and improvement of control environment. Proactively raise self assessment issues and execute self-assessment of strategy programs to ensure they are delivering expected actions
- Proactively seek opportunities and assume responsibility for prioritisation of own workload
- Test, learn and rapid cycle re-forecasting of strategy financial performance
- Partner with CRM internal stakeholders to deliver effective analytical environment that supports comprehensive strategy performance tracking and P&L re-forecasting
- Partner with key stakeholders from across the business as required to develop and execute co-ordinated, robust, compliant and coherent treatment strategies
Experience
- Advanced Excel skills to access Cube data and aid presentation of analysis (not including VBA)
- Also able to use complex data to drive strategy and business changes
- Ability to construct executive presentations
- Understanding of behaviour score inputs, bad definition and usage
- Extensive experience of completing complex data analysis from a wide analytical brief
- Proven ability to create proposals and provide recommendations on the back of analysis
- Proven numerical and analytical background
- Technical skills including the ability to use SAS/SQL to interrogate and summarise data
