The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years hands on control systems experience across a variety of industry leading PLC and SCADA systems and a degree or HNC/HND in a relevant controls based subject. Candidates will display a positive attitude with a drive to take on new challenges and help the company grow and develop its customer base.

The role will involve the design and implantation of a range of Process control systems including PLC, SCADA, DCS and Safety systems. This will be working on a variety of projects delivering first class solutions often to major clients such as Sellafield and Gatwick Airport.

Responsibilities:

- You will be responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of process control system solutions.

- To be involved in full project lifecycle activities, including fault-finding, the preparation of design specifications and reports, software programming, project execution, testing, installation and commissioning.

- Providing technical support and consultancy to users internally and externally.

- Assisting colleagues to ensure the successful completion of projects on time, to budget and the relevant level of quality.

- Responsible for maintaining and developing customer relationships in a highly professional manner.

Essential Skills:

- A good knowledge of at least one industry leading PLC and SCADA system such as Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley is essential. You must also have sufficient practical experience to apply your skills to work with other types of systems, as dictated by project requirements.

- Applicants must be able to communicate effectively both formally and informally, orally and in written English.

- Applicants with experience across all sectors will be considered although experience within the nuclear industry would be highly advantageous.
