My London based Public Sector client is seeking a Business Analyst/ Infrastructure Business Analyst for an initial 3 month contract.

Key Tasks for the Business Analyst/ Infrastructure Business Analyst :

1. Work with the client's work stream leads and other users and suppliers, as required.

2. Lead and facilitate the requirements gathering process, producing requirements and specification documents.

3. Build strong and effective relationships with business stakeholders, communicating all analysis and business implications clearly and delivering required output to agreed plans and timescales.

4. Obtain sign off of requirements from stakeholders.

5. Manage risks associated with the requirement gathering and take preventative action when appropriate.

6. Provide authoritative advice and guidance to colleagues on all aspects of business analysis and requirements gathering, as required.

Experience/Skills Required for the Business Analyst/ Infrastructure Business Analyst:

- Significant experience in ICT requirements management, both from a business and technical perspective.

- Good technical awareness of ICT infrastructure within a service orientated architecture and an understanding of legacy limitations.

- Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into system and operational requirements.

- Full understanding of the development life-cycle, and the need for business and technical requirements management through project life-cycle.

- Practical experience of business requirements capture.

- Knowledge and experience of defining requirements for out-sourced services.

- Good appreciation of service levels, SLAs and KPIs.

- Capable of developing and maintaining communications and relations with stakeholders.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

- Experience of working within a matrix-style structure.

- Knowledge and experience of project management and control functions.

- Competent in presentation techniques.

- Competent in risk management.
