Technical Project Manager

Daily Rate: £350-400 daily Location: Wigan Contract Length: 6 Months

The Role

Technology Project Manager tasked with managing projects involving IT and business change.

About You

* Manage the project on behalf of Project Sponsor ensuring that the Project structure, reporting lines & approval mechanisms are in place & are being adhered to.

* Liaise closely with the Transformation Director to ensure interdependencies and activity deadlines link in

* Solicit & record the business requirements (capture the business view on what's needed) in order to support with finalising IT system specification

* Plan & manage gap analysis activity to support system selection once the business requirement is understood (the target) & viable options have been identified

* Plan & manage the project implementation phase working closely with the IT department and business operations to ensure excellent team working

* Verify that all key planning data information (can be provided) are catered for in the system design

* Plan & manage creation of test and acceptance criteria for User acceptance

* Plan & manage scope of any pilot activity that may be deemed appropriate to verify implementation, acceptance criteria & generally gain confidence in overall solution.

* Plan and manage preparation of communication & training material to support engagement of staff in all depots & offices, in the run up to & during system roll-out.

Your Role

* Minimum 3 years in a project management capacity with evidence of successful delivery

* Minimum of 5-years' experience of working in a multi-site customer service environment

* Strong understanding of business systems & technology with experience of implementing live system changes & the challenges this always brings of interfacing different systems.

* Experience of implementing ERP, CRM & HR systems

* Worked as the "go-to" person for project knowledge and updates

* Excellent agile project experience

* Please note occasional travel will be involved.

* Ability to contribute to other work streams in the programme and assist in the running of the PMO as required.
