SC Tester - Andover, Hampshire - 3-6 Month Contract
My client are looking to take on 4 SC Testers for a 3-6 month initial contract engagement based in Andover, Hampshire. The role will be based full time on site and can offer a competitive daily rate.
Role Information and Responsibilities
* Utilisation of test, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment automation skillsets within a DevOps environment.
* Maintenance of complex test and integration environments, e.g. SIT and interface testing.
* Web testing using API test tools.
* Provided non-functional test support in the form of performance, load, exploratory and usability.
* Delivered against metrics and KPIs used to monitor test performance in a DevOps environment
* Added value to the organisation through innovation, continuous improvement and cost savings.
* Supplier has enabled the organisation to maintain industry best practice.
* Provided an exit plan for the transition to an alternative supplier at the end of the contract and enabled the transition.
Required Skills and Experience
* HP QTP/ UFT and Selenium/Java/F# Canopy/Specflow against Oracle APEX and .NET Applications when writing Automation Scripts.
* Web browser testing including APEX 4/5, IE8/IE11 & Chrome scripts compatibility.
* Proven experience in using other tools e.g. Selenium, TestNG, ANT, Eclipse, WinSCP, Beyond Compare, Putty.
* Proven experience in SIT and setting-up CI Pipeline against Oracle APEX Applications, .NET applications and Software AG WebMethods.
* A good knowledge & understanding of building and provisioning Windows Server 2012 & Red hat Enterprise Linux Server 6.x servers within Microsoft Azure & VMware vSphere Client 6.x.
* Must have good knowledge of Oracle 10g/ 11g and SQL Server 2012, 2016.
* Must have knowledge of API Testing / Web Services Testing using SoapUI 5.x.x.
* Ability to write test plans, test reports, test strategy and user guides.
* Experience in performance testing using HP Loadrunner.
* Competency and proven ability in the use of MS Team Foundation Server and HP Application Lifecycle Management 12.x to maintain test suites, execution of tests and defect tracking.
* HP ALM 12.2 administrative experience.
* ISEB Foundation/Practitioner Qualification.
* Experience working on both pre-production and production Linux and Windows platform.
* Candidates should hold an Active SC Clearance or be eligible and willing to undergo the process.
