A Tier 1 Investment Bank are looking for a Compliance Manager to manage the EMEA Compliance banking team. They are looking for corporate and investment banking compliance coverage experience and strong banking product knowledge.

This role is on a 12 month contract, is based in the City and with a daily rate of £950.

Role Description

* To manage members of the EMEA GCIB Compliance Banking team on a daily basis, including allocation of tasks, review of performance and development of talent, providing them with adequate training and guidance, supporting them vis-a-vis other stakeholders, if and as necessary, and acting as escalation point where required.

* To execute the Compliance Risk Management Program for the GCIB business in the EMEA region, together with other teams and EAC functions

* Provide day-to-day Compliance coverage for the GCIB businesses within the EMEA region with a particular focus on the dedicated coverage area

* Provide assistance to the Business Controls Office in the development of supervisory practices.

* Conduct appropriate Monitoring & Testing in line with compliance risk assessments on a timely basis with appropriate escalation and resolution of any issues or matters arising from those activities.

Required Skills/Qualifications

Significant experience in Corporate and Investment Banking Compliance coverage and related products, including M&A, LevFin and industry coverage:

* A thorough understanding of private side businesses, capital markets and banking products;

* Sound risk management skills and an ability to apply good judgement, take decisions when required and to escalate when necessary;

* Ability to self-identify priorities, deliver to deadline and manage competing demands and stakeholders

* Genuine interest in the securities markets and banking world, regulation and changing legislation; managerial experience and expertise
