Senior IT Coordinator
Private Healthcare
An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced IT professional to join a leading innovator in the private healthcare sector as a Senior IT Coordinator.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide IT support for multiple practices across the South East and Midlands and to proactively ensure that the IT Systems environment are meeting clinical and technology needs. The position will provide all first line system and hardware support, manage local technology implementations and be responsible for compliance and performance reporting.
The role will functionally report to the IT Business Partner, with day to day oversight by the local General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Service Desk in providing first line IT and application support for the practices.
- Ensure that all equipment, infrastructure and application environments fulfil the groups’ clinical and workflow requirements within agreed financial parameters.
- Actively work with clinical staff to optimise the effective use of our IT systems and resources.
- Manage and deliver the assigned state based IT projects
- Develop and maintain the IT infrastructure and application landscape documentation
- Attend Service Desk tickets on a timely manner
- Attend and contribute into IT meetings
- Build and maintain relationship with vendors
Technical Skills & Expertise
- Windows and Sun Solaris operating system experience
- IP Networking and network technology
- PC and Server build, installation and support
- Understanding of DICOM topologies and HL7 messaging.
- Expertise with clinical information systems, ideally HealthTrack/Pinnacle/Mosaiq
- Project Management - Planning, Organising, Executing
- Advanced knowledge of clinical systems management
Qualifications and Experience:
- Commercial IT qualifications e.g. short technical courses in particular systems, IT products, etc.
- Solid commercial experience in the IT industry, preferably obtained in a clinical environment.
- Understanding of patient management and clinical workflows
- Able to support a variety of IT platforms and environments
- Able and willing to configure pc and server hardware, disk arrays and associated equipment.
- Understanding of basic project management principals
Our client is looking to insource their IT systems within the UK hence this is a great opportunity to take ownership of the support and maintenance function for UK practices. Primarily base in London you will need to travel to practice sites located within south East and Midlands on a regular basis.
