Stores Manager

High Wycombe- with some travel to another local site

We are looking for a Stores Manager to play a pivotal role in the running of a Stores department for an expanding hi-tech engineering organisation taking responsibility for the Stores department across 2 sites. This role will involve the management of a team whilst also ensuring a smooth flow of inbound materials to the shop floor & outbound despatches to the customer. Other responsibilities will include:

-              Improve systems and processes to ensure maximum utilisation of staff and resources.

-              Supervise and manage a team across 2 sites.

-              Ensure the smooth flow of inbound and outbound materials working closely with the materials and manufacturing teams.

-              Review and identify any areas of improvement for goods inward, despatch, stores and inspection.

-              Maximising of staff to utilise resources within departments.

-              Prepare any procedural documents or instructions.

-              Assist in the recruitment of new staff.

-              Play a part in continuous improvement processes and initiatives.

For this role you will need:

-              A strong background of working within a stores environment with some managerial responsibility.

-              Must be a self-starter who is used to implementing new ideas and getting things done!

-              Experience of working in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

-              The ability to work with cross functional engineering teams.

 

The position will primarily be based in High Wycombe but will require regular travel to a local site. Any travel costs for this will be covered.
