The Academic Technology team is looking for a Senior Solution Architect to play a major role in developing and maintaining our Academic Research platforms.

Academic publishing is in a state of transformation as it pivots from a subscription model to free and open online access. Join our collaborative team as we continue the evolution of our platforms to find bold new ways to spread knowledge, spark enquiry and aid understanding.

About the role:

You will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams and other solution architects to shape business concepts, understand requirements, devise solutions and oversee implementation in an agile environment.

This role will suit a pro-active problem solver with a variety of skills and a commitment to extend the breadth and depth of their knowledge.

About you:

Experience in providing technical leadership in architecting end to end solutions that meet business needs while ensuring that the implementation is in-line with architectural principles, industry best practices and is extensible and scalable for future needs.

Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience, including the ability to communicate and explain technical choices both at a technical and non-technical level.

You will need to be comfortable working across a wide range of technologies and willing to maintain your knowledge. Learning on the job is actively encouraged.
