Job Title: Production Control Team Leader
Location: Broad Oak, Portsmouth - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Up to £41,000
What you'll be doing:
Leading a Production Control Team whilst interfacing with Projects, Manufacturing, and Procurement to ensure Customers expectations are met
Developing team members and cultivating a can do attitude to enhance team performance
Achieving the Master Production Schedule and Control Production/Repair Orders in line with the plan through to completion and to budget
Maintaining system integrity whilst adopting standard processes and ensuring compliance
Keeping the Master Production Schedule in line with customer requirements
Advising projects and manufacturing during pre-production phase on MRP, Structure and Scheduling
Traceability of stock, adhering to quality processes and export control compliance
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Be able to run complex mini projects whilst effectively deploying resources, demonstrating numerical, analytical and time management skills
Provide knowledge, experience and technical support to team as required to enable resolution to problems that will be encountered during delivery phases
Experience leading and coaching teams to develop a new improving culture that will deliver efficiencies to our delivery methods, processes, systems and tools
Knowledge of supply & demand, SAP user

The Production Control team:
The Production Control team are involved in every step of the build process, providing support to the manufacturing functions to ensure requirements are met. Production Control interact with every department within BAE Systems, interfacing with Procurement, Projects, Stores, Manufacturing, Engineering and more. Production Controllers form a part of the larger Logistics function, including Stores and Packing & Dispatch - between these functions we are responsible for all material control from receipt of component parts to delivery of complete product. It's a fast paced, dynamic environment which requires good communication, problem solving and planning.
