A 15 month fixed term contract opportunity to work as part of our digital pensions team to help us deliver market leading digital experiences. We are redefining how we manage our digital products and how they interact and engage with customers throughout their end-to-end journey. We'll look to you to be a passionate advocate for great customer experiences, bringing your creative and strategic thinking skills. As a UX & CX Designer you'll be expected to lead the design process for customer experiences, bringing a creative range and a depth of thinking to this role.  You will define and articulate the user experience strategy and be at the forefront of UX design solutions ensuring they are centred around best practice, consistency, and re-use.

You'll consider the holistic customer experience and the end to end journeys, ensuring clear journey maps are in place and maintained as well as designing new features and continuously improving our current journeys.

Working collaboratively with a wider UX/Research team, the BA's and the developers, ensuring your designs flow technically and working through any technical challenges, ensuring the customer journeys is always protected.

What you'll be doing:

    '€¢Lead the end-to-end design process for customer experiences across multiple digital channels, including websites, mobile apps, and other digital platforms. '€¢Define and articulate user experience strategy, leveraging user research, data analysis, and industry best practices to inform design decisions. '€¢Create wireframes, prototypes, and design mock-ups to communicate design concepts and user interactions effectively. '€¢Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility. '€¢Conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B testing to validate design assumptions and iterate on designs based on user feedback. '€¢Translating customer insights into designed experiences and forming a compelling story around them. '€¢Advocate for user-centered design and GDS design principles within the project, fostering a culture of empathy and customer-centricity. '€¢Ensure that customer centric principles and design guidelines are in place and in the forefront of our delivery of digital journeys '€¢Working with project teams and key stakeholders to develop and own the delivery of user centred solutions within project timeframes and objectives. '€¢Facilitate Workshops to understand journey requirements/walk through proposed journeys. '€¢Work closely with IT to understand where there are technical constraints in journeys and adjust the journey appropriately. '€¢Working closely with project stakeholders to help understand and define customer value. '€¢Mentor and guide junior designers, providing feedback and support to help them grow their skills and capabilities.

What we're looking for:

    '€¢UX design experience - extensive experience in designing digital journeys (Experience in creating wireframes, prototypes and user flows), ideally in a financial services environment, with an understanding of design standards, accessibility and  SEO. '€¢Strong communication skills - has the ability to articulate information in front of stakeholders '€¢A good understanding of lean and agile UX practices. '€¢Analytical - comfortable reviewing data to identify challenges in journeys and recommend solutions.  '€¢Can clearly articulate issues and work with IT on solutions for compelling journey improvement. '€¢Able to influence wider teams to buy into the importance customer centric focus and design
