Embedded Software Engineer - £55,000 - £60,000 - Hybrid working - Glasgow

I am working with a cutting-edge New Space enterprise focused on small satellite innovations and solutions tailored for businesses, governmental entities, and educational institutions. Our mission is to facilitate access to top-tier, real-time data from space, empowering various sectors with invaluable insights. These insights drive advancements in crucial areas such as weather prediction, precision agriculture, and environmental surveillance, ultimately enhancing the quality of life on our planet. I am looking for creative, driven and enthusiastic embedded software engineers to join the team in developing, testing and deploying world-class satellite technology. You will be expected to design, develop, debug and test software for embedded computers on satellites, deliver work tasks and assignments in accordance to required standards and contribute to the business by supporting engineers to scope work and specify requirements.

Essential Skills for the Embedded Software Engineer

  • Industry experience applying software engineering to products.
  • Fluent in C programming with experience developing high-quality software for embedded systems.
  • Embedded real-time development.
  • Strong familiarity with Linux.
Desirable Skills for the Embedded Software Engineer
  • Knowledge of environmental testing and ESA standards
  • Experience with Control Systems
