I am currently looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join a leading global media organisation in their London office. My client is looking to find the perfect candidate before the Christmas/ New year period and there will be an opportunity to start immediately should that be of interest. The successful PHP Developer will be expected to assist in the development of the back-end aspect of a new production management system. On a day to day basis, the successful PHP Developer will be required to work with and extend current data structures and liaise with Product Managers regarding their business requirements. Alongside the Systems Architect, the Senior PHP Developer will formulate the best implementation approach and create both PHP and Unit test cases. The successful candidate will also be expected to produce clear documentation for the code they are producing.

To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you must have:

Considerable commercial experience within PHP in Linux / Windows environments, following object orientated approach to application design.

Worked considerably within the LAMP framework and have strong knowledge of the installation and configuration of Apache servers

Exposure to Oracle/ MySQL databases, including basic DBA tasks

Experience and understanding of the full software development lifecycle

Any experience gained in API development and front end skills, particularly in Flex will be highly desirable

An appreciation of Agile/ SCRUM methodology is also favourable, as is experience within the Zend framework
