The Role:

This role specifically requires a Security Analyst to be responsible for reviewing and implementing all new technologies, services, solutions and processes to offer advice to ensure security and alignment with best practice.

The role will include elements of design, implementation, infrastructure simplification, migration for the security portfolio and assist with the ongoing support of this.

To have a good understanding of enterprise level design and a proven ability to deliver excellent service. They will also be able to lead or assist in challenging Cyber projects which contribute to the increased protection of the estate.

The role will be varied from design and implementation to support and fault fixing of the security suite.

Key Responsibilities:

* To assist in the planning, design and Implementation of the Security product portfolio

* Develop policies, standards and frameworks for IT Security and maintain them

* Provide architectural/Software support for the security suite

* To implement and complete projects on time and budget allocated from Team lead

* Support the creation of security related management reports on both an ad hoc and regular basis

* Incident management

* Problem solving and support to business functions and end-users (if required)

* Keeping abreast of Information Security incidents across the industry and helping to incorporate lessons learnt into BAU process

* Extended working hours and part of an on call rota (if required)

Essential Technical Skills

* IT Security background

* McAfee security suite knowledge

* Advanced understanding of Windows operating system

* In depth technical ability gained in an IT support or development environment

* End to end service/third line fault fixing & diagnosis

* Basic understanding of scripting and coding languages

* Solid troubleshooting skills

* Excellent technical troubleshooting

* Good knowledge of Security product sets

* Detailed understanding of PC configuration and system registry setting

* Incident logging and management
