What it’s about

We’re looking for an experienced Web Applications Developer to join our team developing an enterprise authoring application for assessments. To create a best in class authoring application and user experience for the business.

You will join a growing and dynamic team that supports and enhances our ground-breaking platform for producing assessments materials.

What you’ll be doing

      Working as a member of the development team to deliver solutions to the required standards.

      Understand current systems and their capabilities so that you can confidently develop areas that are needed for the business.

      Deliver developments iteratively creating documentation, tests, prototypes and demos as appropriate and as required.

What we’re looking for

You will have a background in web application development with a focus on front-end technologies that deliver (UI) application that provide an intuitive user experience (UX), you should be comfortable working on both the front and backend of an application.

We are looking for someone who is educated to degree-level or equivalent and has worked on the enterprise application delivered using web technologies.

The successful candidates should also have:

      A good academic background (BSc or equivalent) in a computer science, engineering or in a related field or equivalent experience.

      Knowledge of programming languages: Javascript , Java, XSLT and Typescript.

      Knowledge of one or more development frameworks (Angular 1 and 2, React, Backbone, Ember, GWT, Jersey RESTful, Spring and Struts)

      Knowledge of HTML, CSS, SASS and LESS and how to create a reactive and adaptive user experience.

      Knowledge of working with a large scale RESTful web services and multiple database systems (including NoSQL)

      Able to work independently, possesses a flexible attitude and good communication skills.

      Excellent team skills, motivation to work in a global organization and a heightened sense of ownership.

      Ability to think outside the box and demonstrate a mind set for continuous improvement and innovation.

      Experience of the following within a commercial environment would also be desirable:

a. Agile methodologies

b. Continuous Integration (TDD and BDD)
