Our client a leading law firm based in WC2 a stone’s throw from Charings Cross, currently have a vacancy for an IT Support Assistant. You will be providing IT support to a close-knit group of professionals. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who is looking for a challenging new role in a dynamic, expanding company.
Knowledge/skills/attributes:
Graduate with a degree in any IT related subject
Strong interest in IT, systems and process
Excellent problem solving skills
Can demonstrate and provide examples of use of initiative in a range of situations
Can evidence strong communication skills with people at different levels and roles within an organisation or company
Ability to work to tight deadlines - accurately
Excellent attention to detail
Experienced user of Microsoft Office
Excellent time management, organisational and administrative skills
Team player but self-motivated and able to work autonomously
Flexible - willing to travel UK
Ability to learn on the job and show intuition for technology
The Role:
To actively engage in the provision of IT support to 250 staff through an IT Helpdesk system
Work with a team ensuring that all support requests as directed to you are dealt with promptly and efficiently
Where necessary to escalate issues to other members of the IT Team and external Technicians
To assist with documenting standard IT procedures such as creating new users and managing phone contracts
Undertake training sessions on hardware or software to colleagues as appropriate or required
To gather user feedback on the systems and provide regular reports to the IT Manager
Provide ad hoc on site IT support as required
To undertake any work as required by a busy IT Support team

The role will involve some travel between my client’s office in London and South Wales (naturally traveling expenses will be paid for).
No two days will be that same and you must be able to work as part of a team and able to work autonomously with the ability to perform under pressure and to tight deadlines as well as being capable to Handel stressful situations with confidence.
