A Java Technical Architect with at least 10 years total experience is sought by my B2C client that has c. 700,000 concurrent users to join their small Architecture team and work on a large number of architectural challenges that have a risen from a need for more scalability following their steady increase in user-base.

This Java Technical Architect is sought to work as part of a small team an un-do their monolithic architecture, and build out their next generation platform architecture that will be based on microservices and a SOA (Service Orientated Architecture).

This Java Technical Architect must still be interested in cutting Java code, and it will be 85-90% Architecture, 10-15% hands on Java coding as you work with the Java developers to show them how to implement new concepts. They are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the Spring framework.

The architecture responsibilities of this "Java Technical Architect - microservices project and SOA project" will revolve around defining solutions, strategic thinking, decision making and working with the developers and the rest of the team to implement these solutions.
