What it’s about

The corporate websites are expanding to the needs of our growing business and to meet that demand we are looking to add an experienced .NET C# WEB developer with CMS experience to the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small multi-disciplined team working in an agile way to deliver real value to our business areas. You will be exposed to some of the latest technology including content management systems, Cloud capabilities and new development and testing frameworks.

What you’ll be doing

In a typical day you will be combining handling production support issues with project works and developing new features in line with business priorities. As we offer a full end-to-end service from requirements gathering through to implementation within the team, you will be close to the process of understanding and sizing requirements and be able to influence solution design and implementation. To do this, we will help you become an expert in both the platform and the demands of the business.

More experienced applicants will have the opportunity to lead on refining our agile development methodology and processes and will be key to providing technical direction, designing solutions and influencing the shape of the service we offer to the business.

What we’re looking for

You will have a strong background in developing and supporting websites built on Microsoft based technologies such as ASP.NET, C#, MVC and Visual Studio. In addition you will have experience in using jQuery or similar frameworks. Development experience using a CMS is also required, such as SDL Tridion. We are of course looking for a great communicator who can work well within the team, with our business units and with remote colleagues.

In addition to the core skills, you might have experience of some of the following:-

relational database such as SQL Server or Oracle

virtualisation and cloud based technologies

front end UI design using HTML4/5

JavaScript

XML and XML Schema

JSON

T/SQL

XSL

TeamCity, Octopus Deploy

ORM experience such as Entity Framework or NHibernate
