Brief Description of the Role:
We are looking for a senior data analyst to play a key role in the monitoring and evaluation of numerous projects within the new Better Start Bradford programme. The role will be based within the Better Start Bradford Innovation Hub hosted by Born in Bradford.
This is a once in a life time opportunity to be part of an initiative which will have real impact on improving the life chances of some of the poorest families within Bradford. Better Start Bradford has been awarded £49 million from the National Lottery to help parents give their children the best start in life. As a component of Better Start Bradford, the Innovation Hub will unite leading academics from the Universities of York, Bradford, and Leeds to establish a new birth cohort and provide a centre for evaluation of effectiveness of innovations aimed at improving well-being, communication and language development and nutrition and obesity in pregnant women and 0-3 year olds. The programme will combine the exciting potential of Better Start Bradford to transform the health and well-being of a new generation of children, with the world-leading expertise of the Born in Bradford research cohort.
The successful candidate will work across the wide portfolio of projects within the Better Start Bradford Programme to maintain consistency in data capture. The post holder will interrogate numerous information systems to provide datasets for analysis and provide regular clear and timely reports to support the monitoring and evaluation function of the Better Start Bradford Programme.
You will have extensive experience working as a data analyst and experience with electronic healthcare records systems. You will be skilled in the visual presentation of numerical and statistical information. You will be able to train people with limited technical skills to use highly technical systems. The post is fixed term for 5 years.
