We are now actively recruiting for a Business System Analyst who will be responsible. for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information management, practices, procedures, and organisation change. This role requires candidates to be eligible for SC Clearance.

Main Areas of Responsibility

* Takes responsibility for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information management, practices, procedures, and organisation change.

* Applies and monitors the use of required modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards, giving special consideration to business perspectives.

* Conducts investigations at a high level for strategy studies, business requirements specifications and feasibility studies.

* Prepares business cases which define potential benefits, options for achieving these benefits through development of new or changed processes, and associated business risks. Identifies stakeholders and their business needs.

* Specifies and designs large or complex systems.

* Selects appropriate design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and ensures they are applied effectively.

* Facilitates scoping and business priority setting for large or complex changes, engaging senior stakeholders as required.

* Selects the most appropriate means of representing business requirements in the context of a specific change initiative.

Skills and Experience required

* Eligible for SC Clearance

* Strong experience of business and system analysis including requirements gathering

* In depth understanding of the software development and procurement lifecycle

* UML modelling experience

* Experience within Naval, Defence and engineering environments would be advantageous but not essential.
