The Science Museum Group is looking a talented and energetic individual to manage analytics for our digital activities. This is a completely new role at the Science Museum Group, at an exciting time for in the Digital team, and will require someone with a real passion for analytics to champion it across the organisation. The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a similar role in any organisation, although experience in the heritage, public or charity sectors will be an advantage.

Key Deliverables

1. Manage the SMG’s Google Analytics, Google TAG Manager and Google Webmaster Tools accounts

2. Analyse online traffic for Science Museum Group (web sites, email and social media channels)

3. Create reports for different audiences within the museum

4. Work with colleagues in Directorate to supply required data for the Department of Culture Media and Sport

5. Respond to inbound queries from other teams regarding analytics

6. Provide insight and analysis to inform decision-making within the digital team at Science Museum

7. Raise awareness of analytics across the organisation

8. Create and manage digital surveys and other analytics projects

Skills

           Thorough knowledge of analytics best practices

           Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics, Google TAG Manager and Google Webmaster Tools

           Ability to analyse data and communicate key messages and recommendations arising from that analysis

           Demonstrable understanding of digital media and emerging trends in analytics

           Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire best-practice and build positive relationships with colleagues around the Museum

           Excellent eye for detail

           Excellent time management and prioritising skills with the ability to manage a number of projects

           Able to communicate with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders with different understanding of digital communications.
