Analysing and interpreting data about the way complaints against the police are handled, you'll play a key role in ensuring the effectiveness of the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
Supporting the Performance Analysis Manager, you'll produce both IPCC operational performance reports and force complaints reports. That means collecting and collating data, identifying and explaining key trends and carrying out data analysis. You'll also contribute to continuous improvement within the police complaints system, for example through our change programme and by taking on projects resulting from our knowledge information strategy. Over time you'll build an excellent knowledge of the systems and data used for reporting and analysis and will be able to advise one or more business areas on improved data recording and analysis.
Highly numerate, with the ability to analyse and interpret data, you'll have experience of using management information IT systems and reporting processes. You'll be educated to degree level or equivalent, with excellent written and spoken communication skills that mean you're capable of presenting your findings to a wide range of audiences. Knowledge of performance frameworks and statistical testing would be an advantage, as would a technical grasp of analytical software.
