Manufacturing Engineer - £32,000 to £40,000 p/a + Benefits - King's Lynn - Global Med Dev - Permanent

A Manufacturing Engineer is now required to join a successful operations team to complete activities associated with installing, validating, maintaining and continuously improving all manufacturing systems and equipment to meet with new and existing production demands and standards.

This is a great opportunity for an Engineer who is looking to work on complex multi million pound projects and wants the opportunity to travel.

Role Purpose

* To deliver both existing and emerging technology from specification to production handover

* Apply specialist engineering knowledge to resolve relatively complex problems.

* May be required to lead cross functional teams in a project environment

* Will be required to have and manage occasional project reports

* Pro-actively contribute to the interface with Development in order to assure components are designed appropriately for manufacture (DFM)

* Draft and maintain planned preventative maintenance (PPM) guidance,

* Ensure that equipment is able to operate at optimum output with minimum unplanned disruption/interruption to the production processes.

* Operate in accordance with Health and safety regulations, departmental procedures, company policies and cGMP.

* Host contractors and issue permits,

* Identify areas of improvement in the manufacturing equipment and processes for ongoing cost effectiveness and to ensure better ways of working.

Essential

* Minimum of HNC in Engineering or related discipline

* Project management experience involving new equipment installation

* Considerable experience within a manufacturing industry (ideally within high speed automation assembly)

* Experience of managing external resources and third party suppliers

* Understanding of process equipment validation, including CFR820 and GAMP

* Experience/understanding of pneumatics, hydraulic, electrical and control systems

* Experience/understanding of Packaging - cartons, sleeve wraps, heat seal pouches, labelling, bar and 2d coding.

* Understanding of validation requirements for IVD's and Medical Devices (Desirable)

* Understanding of Maintenance approaches, such as TPM, PPM, etc. (Desirable)
