Would you like to join an ambitious and forward looking unit of analysts, researchers and data experts?
The Greater London Authority (GLA) relies on the Intelligence Unit to provide high quality data and analysis to inform policy and investment in one of the world’s truly global cities.
As part of a growing City Data team, we are looking for someone who enjoys creating engaging and easy to use web applications for the general public or for professional users. You will need a particular interest in using maps and working closely with GIS specialists as well as creating compelling stories with data. You will be a curious, flexible thinker who loves learning new things and tackling challenges on a daily basis.
You will have the opportunity to work on high profile projects such as the Schools Atlas which was covered in the Standard and national press and the internationally well-regarded London DataStore. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and experience, but you will need to bring with you a strong technical background including 2 years commercial front end web development experience using HTML 5, CSS and JavaScript, as well as a working knowledge of backend web technologies.
If you enjoy working with clients to turn their ideas into working websites and solving varied problems please apply.
