Java Developer Permanent

My client is a leading investment bank looking for a strong java developer to work in their flagship java development team. The team is responsible for building bespoke front office solutions for internal users and external clients, including global hedge funds, brokers, asset managers and many more. The work is nearly all Greenfield which will give the successful candidate complete ownership of their work. In return they will work in a great environment with fantastic financial rewards and future prospects.

Primary Skills

* Expertise in writing efficient, reliable, and easily maintainable software with strong OOD principles

* Spring, Hibernate, JMS

* Agile experience - Scrum, TDD

* Proficient with writing step implementation code for JBehave or equivalent BDD tools

* Experience of the full SDLC from requirements to release with understanding and experience of engineering practices such as unit testing, continuous integration, automated testing, etc.

Secondary Skills

* Multi-threading

* Knowledge of Financial Services

* Money Markets

* Trading Services

* Mentoring of junior developers

* Experience with design patterns

* SQL / Oracle experience
