Senior mechanical design, Newport, Up to £40,000

Huxley engineering is recruiting for a globally recognised organisation based in the Newport area that specialise in the design and manufacture of bespoke instrumentation, electro-mechanical devices and components.

This specific vacancy is aimed at an engineer with a background in full life cycle new product development from taking a customer spec, generating a concept and seeing the product through hands on test, development and prototyping right the way through to manufacture.

You will also have proven experience at a senior/lead design level, whether that be leading projects or a team of mechanical design engineers.

The below skill sets and requirements are provided below, those that the relevant experience will qualify for a face to face interview.

- Full life cycle mechanical design, new and existing product development

- 3D CAD ideally pro-e but other CAD packages like Solidworks will be considered

- Ideally electro-mechanical development experience or Mechatronics

- FMEA and DFM

Salary will be between £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
