Software Development Manager - Macclesfield £45-60K + Fantastic Benefits. Our client based in Macclesfield is currently looking for a highly skilled software development manager who is to ensure the successful design, build and delivery of innovative software projects in various technologies. MAIN DUTIES

* Leading development in a wide range of technologies, primarily .Net/SQL web applications but also HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS, and Objective C/Swift to produce solutions for a wide range of channels: desktop, mobile, events etc

* Leading of in-house developers, vendors or freelance to carry out development

* As a Creative Technologist you will strive for innovative solutions that are delivered on time to high quality

* Day-to-day leading of bespoke and off-the-shelf software development in support of agency projects

* Input into budgeting, timelines, brainstorming of ideas to meet client briefs

* Ensure projects are well documented e.g. specification, storyboards etc

* Development and technical leading of allocated software development projects, from detailed specification, through programming to technical test

* Reporting to Development Director as to status, risks and ongoing progress

* Liaise with Commercial team to work towards project goals and effectively deliver client projects

* Liaise with IT team to work to ensure successful hosting of solutions using technologies such as Microsoft Azure

* Collaborate with design/UX teams to create high quality software

* Resource management of staff, including budget management and scheduling

REQUIRED SKILLS

* Experience of leading .Net/SQL web applications

* Experience of leading HTML/5 and mobile projects

* Ability to lead other current technologies such as: Xamarin, Phone Gap, JQTouch, Telerik, Objective C/Swift

* Experience of using SVN or equivalent versioning software

* Experience of liaison with business teams and client interaction.

* Experience in product specification, technical design and architecture.

* Proven track record in development within a commercial setting

* Good experience in leading other individuals and teams
