CAD Support Engineer - Analog/RF IC - South UK

Our client is a global semiconductor leader and currently seek a CAD Support engineer to provide local CAD support for the Analog and RF IC Design and layout teams here in the UK whilst improving productivity and quality.

You will be involved in supporting the development of low-power/high performance RF and Analog circuits with the role will involving tool evaluation and deployment.

The successful applicant will have established experience from within in a CAD Support position and will have strong experience in some or all of the following:

oCadence Custom IC Design Environment (Virtuoso, Composer, ADE)

oCadence RF Design and Simulation Environment (Spectre and Spectre-RF)

oLayout and verification (Virtuoso, Assura and/or Calibre)

oScripting Languages - Perl/Python/TCL, SKILL, OCEAN, bash, tcsh

oModelling Languages - Verilog/Verilog-AMS/Verilog-A

Experience is desired in; PDK development, Parasitic extraction, Cadence Viva and ADE-XL, Agilent Golden Gate RF simulator as well as the ability to understand and modify Calibre and/or Assura runsets.

This position requires good communication and interpersonal skills as well the ability to be highly motivated and able to work independently. Strong technical problem solving skills are essential for the role.
