SAP PP Consultant

An experienced Senior SAP PP Consultant is required for a rapidly expanding organisation based in Ireland. Experience of rolling out SAP to replace other ERP systems such as MFGPro, JDE, Infra, Oracle, is required The candidate will act as a subject matter expert providing guidance and advice to senior management with regards to finding systematic and process solutions to changing business needs. You will provide a seamless interface with the business and IT to create an alignment between IT resources and the business needs. You will have expert knowledge of SAP PP and have been involved in at least two SAP PP Implementations

Key Responsibilities

. You will be responsible for a number of developers and staff in manufacturing locations where the ERP system is yet to transition to SAP, and you will provide support and advice on how to optimise these environments until such time as they are retired from the enterprise.

. S/he requires an understanding of business processes specifically around manufacturing and how IT solutions are and/or can be deployed to enable the business functions to operate efficiently and effectively.

. To be effective, s/he will need to be able to translate business needs into IT proposals by defining the costs, timelines and business value.

. S/he will effectively communicate complex technical issues and solutions to management in business acumen.

Essential Skills/Experience

. Seek out opportunities for business process improvements and/or enhancements with a focus on improved use of system functionality/usability.

. Analyze business processes and identify relevant solution alternatives.

. Liaise between the business units and the IT organization.

. Ensure business continuity by change and release management.

. Provide input, as requested on annual budget and capital plans, but more importantly develop internal documents for demand initiative proposals, project estimates and capital requests.

. Support and maintain strategic approach to ensure secure operations of business systems throughout the organization.

. Determine and implement strategies to insure that the business processes are effective and efficient.

. Business Process Management (BPM) concepts and tool knowledge, a plus.

. Coordinate and manage application and infrastructure projects and resources with business project leads, key champions and users across multiple time zones.
