IT Director needed for an established market leader in Cardiff. As IT Director you will report to the company's Chief Finance Officer, whilst being considered as a key member of the leadership team of a dynamic business, operating in a high growth, high tech environment.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the group's IT strategy remains appropriate for the evolving needs of the business, and that the strategy is efficiently and effectively deployed.

When speaking of IT, I am referring to Infrastructure, Hardware, Communication Technologies & Software Development, Managing the scope and functionality of the IT environment as well as Cyber Security. Packages & Applications used within the business is a mixture of external and internally developed software.

This will high impact role which requires the ability to work within and influence a senior management team, and to provide leadership to a team of IT specialists spanning the UK, US and Asia.

What we expect from you;

* A record of accomplishment in planning and implementing global outlook and strategy.

* A track record of working at and influencing senior management and board level colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

* Good experience of a wide range of technologies including; Server & Storage Platforms, Desktop Technologies, Remote & Mobile Computing, Email, Voice & Data Communications and IT Support.

* Capable of managing IT Risks including; Cyber Security, Controls, Protection of Company Assets including IP.

* Experienced in translating company visions into IT Systems & Procedures, articulating this to Stakeholders, Board Members, IT Staff & Employees.

* Strong in planning and budgeting capital expenditure and optimum resource utilization, whilst synchronising with HR for resource needs.

* Able to oversee analysis and evaluation of current systems and technology, against making technology decisions and purchasing new equipment, i.e. outsourcing or in house capabilities.

* Capable of ensuring Cost Optimization, Innovation and Efficiency Improvement within the IT Department.

* Good with assessing and matching talent to challenges, in order to maximize performance and improve effectiveness.

* Good with assessing and evaluating external IT service providers and ensure ROI.

* Confident in develop IT Policies and Procedures to ensure consistency in standards.

* Able to provide overall IT Governance and IT Risk Management for the company.
