Electrical Engineering Instructor (Rail Academy) - Coventry

A market leading organisation is currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineering Instructor to take on a permanent position ASAP. As an Electrical Craft Instructor you will come from electrical mechanical background, having recent practical knowledge of the hands on engineering that you will be teaching. The role would be a great opportunity for applicants who are looking to move into an academic environment from commercial engineering. We will put together a range of courses to develop training skills and techniques in line with the methodology used within the courses. The role holder could potentially come from a range of sectors where electrical engineering is part of large scale production such as the motor industry.

You will work within the impressive client training centre alongside the other trainers who focus on academic and other practical skills of the courses provided. The centre has a relaxed business focussed atmosphere; it is very well-equipped, with class room, technical craft rooms with all the relevant equipment for the courses, quiet study areas, break out areas and free parking.

The training is part of the 20 week initial training course that all apprentices on this course complete at the start of their 3 year apprenticeship. Each class is kept to a maximum of 8 candidates per instructor within classes of up to 16 apprentices for the craft / practical course sessions to ensure that the apprentices' training can be effectively delivered. Craft / practical courses will make use of the mechanical devices and bench fitting tools that are provided for each apprentice in the class within the craft rooms.

This role requires an enhanced DBS through the Disclosure and Barring Service and military security clearance.
