My client who are based in Ipswich are looking for a Senior Data warehouse IBM Infosphere Architect to work on a 6 month contract with the potential to extend.

The Senior architect will pay a key technical leadership role in defining the direction as well as implementing the major transformational data-related projects across the Enterprise Using IBM Infosphere suites. She/he will be responsible for defining and leading the design/implementation of EDW and engaging with information/data management projects ensuring their successful execution and continued alignment to the client architecture.

Play key roles in Enterprise EDW, projects (e.g. Senior Data Modeller, Senior Data Architect)

Work with business and IT partners to deliver green field EDW which meet current needs and understand future direction of the business.

Work closely with offshore / onshore team to ensure implementation of EDW, Data Pooling, Data Profiling creation of ODS, Managing IBM Infosphere Data quality initiatives, Interfacing data to downstream systems, and alignment of the data solutions with the Enterprise Data Warehouse.

To Lead, the effort to establish, define, maintain and communicate data architecture, reference architectures, guidelines, standards and best practices across the organisation at client place.

Collaborate closely with other Senior stack holders to define and implement effective and efficient solutions to business challenges and opportunities using IBM Infosphere product suites.

Develop and maintain the technical roadmap for the evolution of the Enterprise data platforms including data sourcing, integration, distribution, and quality initiatives Create data models and architecture diagrams to document proposed strategies and educate stakeholders

Continuous learning to understand new/emerging technologies and the impact on data management and data architecture

Desired Skills

A minimum of a bachelor of science in an IT related curriculum.

12 + years of solid hand on experience work experience in Developing solutions in IBM Infosphere products Data stage, Data Replication using CDC, Information Governance Control, IBM Data Quality in combination with IBM Information Analyser.

*10+ years of work experience in working with development of large scale data warehouse system.

*3+ years of experience working with and designing data solutions for Retail industry with focus one or more business domains.

*Experience with IBM Infosphere suites data profiling in Information Analyser, Metadata Management in IGC - Information Governance Catalog, ETL in Data stage Data Cleansing using Data Quality Stage and CDC Using IBM CDC data replication.

*Solid understanding of retail transactional and information systems, data warehouses, data marts, ODS, MDM.

*Working knowledge of Linux, Unix and Windows, and mainframe operating systems including knowledge of various scripting languages, scheduling tools IBM Tivoli and version control software.

*Experience implementing on Data warehouse solution using IBM Neteeza.

*Experience implementing data architecture in an agile (scrum) environment using IBM IDA.

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills

*Excellent planning and execution skills with a proven ability to establish and meet impactful goals and objectives with regard to data architecture
