Mechanical Team Leader

Aberdeen - Commutable from: Bridge of Don, Dyce, Westhill, Kinstor, Newmachar, Balmedie, Cove Bay, Invervurie, Oldmeldrum and surrounding areas

£31200 - £39582/£15 - £19.03 per hour + 33 days holiday, Pension scheme, Life Insurance, Bonus Scheme, Overtime and Sick Pay

Permanent days based role

Monday - Friday - With overtime available

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer, Do you have experience of Electrical and Mechanical rotating equipment? My client are leading international engineering business specialising in Repair of Electro-mechanical rotating equipment. They are seeking an experience mechanical engineer to lead a team of engineers in a workshop setting as well as being hands on to assist with team workload.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, including experience in machining e.g. Lathes, Mills and working to tight tolerances. As well as experience of dynamic balancing and laser alignment and vibration analysis. They will also hold a formal apprenticeship or other relevant qualification.

The role:

*Allocating work tasks and providing job specific information to workshop employees as well as supervising completion to meet deadlines.

*Assist with team workload, particularly complex or higher critically equipment where engineering specifications or build tolerances require greater experience or knowledge.

*Assisting in investigations and resolving customer complaints, providing root cause analysis when required.

The person:

*Previous experience of electrical and mechanical rotating equipment - including machining skills

*Experience of laser alignment, vibration analysis and dynamic balancing

*Organisational skills and Microsoft office experience including Word, Excel, and outlook.
