Norges Bank Investment Management is seeking a dedicated professional as Trade Analysts in our Trade Analytics and Benchmarking Team. The team is part of the Global Trading Department within the Asset Strategies area, and is responsible for delivering trading analytics, improving trading strategies and developing decision support tools across all asset classes. The Global Trading Department is responsible for all equity- and fixed income trade execution, as well as a significant part of FX trading.

You will be part of a team of experienced traders and trading analysts and will be working closely with portfolio managers and broker counterparties (e.g. other Investment Banks) across all our offices, as well as collaborating with developers within the Operations Area. The role involves supporting the trading teams with trade cost analysis, model development, process automation, and producing reports for both department- and management level.

The position is located in Oslo and will report to Head of Trade Analytics and Benchmarking. Some travel may be expected.

Main Responsibilities:

- Working closely with our traders, trading analysts, broker counterparties and developers to improve existing processes, as well as creating new innovative solutions for the trading desk.

- Calculating performance and contribution to returns from various trading strategies, for instance algorithmic trade execution and block trading.

- Providing decision support to traders and portfolio managers based on Trade Cost Analytics.

- Contributing proactively in the group with ideas and improvements around trading strategies and analytics. Relevant methods include machine learning and optimization.

- Producing standard as well as ad-hock trading activity reports.

Main Qualifications:

- Master’s degree preferably in a quantitative field with strong academic records.

- Strong analytical mindset and an ability to simplify complex tasks and challenges.

- Minimum 1 - 3 years relevant working experience (e. g. analyst, data scientist or consultant). However, we also encourage highly motivated graduate students to apply.

- Experience with a programming language like C#, Python or similar.

- Preferably some experience with SQL, databases and/or big data.

- Preferably some experience with operations research and statistical learning.

- High level of integrity.

- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with working proficiency in written and spoken English.
