I am looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join a client of mine who specialise in developing electronics and embedded software for motor control of actuators for the Aerospace, Defence and Oil & Gas industries.

This is fantastic opportunity to join client who is in the process of building a tech hub in Bristol working on new Greenfield projects.

Key

* FreeRTOS (and/or SafeRTOS)

* Communication protocols: CAN, CANopen, Ethernet; ARINC 429

Essential

* Embedded C

* Motor control of 3 phase Brushless DC (BLDC) motors

* Control theory - Proportional, Proportional-Integral and Proportional-Integral-Derivative

* Communication protocol: RTS232

* ARM micro-processors: e.g. TI TMS570, TMS32

* Complex engineering development including: requirements, design for manufacture, verification &

* validation

* Formal documentation e.g. Software Requirements Specification; Software Interface Specification;

* Software Design Description; Software Integration, Verification & Validation Acceptance Plan

* Detailed design and modelling

* Testing & Integration

* Integration with hardware

* Standards: DO-178, IEC 61508, ISO 15765

* Regulated engineering processes e.g. CMMI level 3-5 or equivalent

* Interfacing with external experts

* Estimation and forecasting

* Willingness to travel occasionally
